The Glenlivet Archive 21 Year Old is a batch-produced whisky using only hand-selected casks. It is a complex whisky with sherry and wood notes integrating seamlessly with the aromatic palette. Let the pleasure linger late into the night. Glenlivet Scotch Whisky is made using barley sourced from Crisp Maltings, Portgordon (a village in Moray, Scotland). After the barley has been malted and mashed, it is fermented in wooden washbacks for approximately two days. The wooden washbacks used by Glenlivet are more
difficult and expensive to maintain as compared to the stainless steel washbacks used by most Scottish distilleries but impart a distinctive, floral quality to the whisky. This whisky is put through a combination of hand-selected American oak and ex-sherry casks, which impart the distinctive
flavour of dried fruits and a bold richness, vibrant intensity and long finish.
