Inspired by the origins of champagne, when wines that were blended for greater sweetness were customarily described as “rich.” Veuve Clicquot Rich is a new playful drinking experience, created for mixology.
Veuve Clicquot’s wine team led by Cellar Master Dominique Demarville and professional mixologists relied on their renowned know-how of dosage to create a totally new wine for a new time. Dominique Demarville states that “sugar in champagne is like spices in a recipe, used correctly it can bring out specific aromas and play with taste”.
Showing exceptional roundness & sweetness, the wine is then magnified by the presence of selected ingredients: pineapple, grapefruit zest, cucumber, celery, peppers or tea, all on the rocks. The signature Pinot Noir of the Veuve Clicquot style is given a new versatility with a higher dosage, while a greater presence of Meunier emphasizes fresh, fruity and luscious notes.
This new cuvée and this new way of drinking champagne are a testimony of the House's heritage and an expression, among others, of its consistent, daring audacity through time.
On the palate: citrus and floral notes.
