Woodford Reserve Kentucky Straight Malt

By law, an American Straight Malt must contain at least 51% malted barley. Woodford’s master distillers designed a mash bill that bridges two worlds: 51% Malted Barley: Introduces a heavy creaminess, toasted grain, and nuttiness. 47% Corn: Keeps the liquid deeply familiar with standard bourbon sweetness. 2% Rye: A subtle hint of spice to tie the complex flavors together. Nose: Soft and inviting, displaying toasted oatmeal, milk chocolate, and light caramel, backed by a vibrant layer of dried tropical fruits and charred oak. Palate: Rich and incredibly smooth. It coats the mouth with notes of dark chocolate-covered nuts, cocoa powder, and sweet brown sugar, balanced by a bright oak character. Finish: Medium-length and satisfyingly dry, echoing hints of chocolate malt, oak tannins, and gentle baking spice.
