The story of Glenfiddich

Glenfiddich is a single malt Scotch whisky founded in 1887 by William Grant in Dufftown, Banffshire, Scotland. It is owned by William Grant & Sons, the company that carries its founder's name, and Glenfiddich remains one of the single malts in that company's range.

What makes Glenfiddich different

What sets Glenfiddich apart is how much of the work happens on site. The whisky is distilled in copper stills maintained by the distillery's own coppersmiths, a practice in place since 1957. A dedicated onsite cooperage, established in 1959, prepares the casks, and a Solera Vat system introduced in 1998 is used for the 15 Year Old expression.
