What makes Loch Lomond different
Loch Lomond is a Single Malt Scotch Whisky distillery built around two styles of malt still: a straight-neck pot still fitted with distillation trays for greater vapour contact, and a traditional swan-neck pot still. That pairing lets it produce eight different single malt styles. Fermentation runs for 92 hours, and the site has its own cooperage, where around 30,000 casks a year need major repairs. The 18 Year Old is aged in three types of American oak cask, bottled at 46% ABV and non-chill filtered.
