Gives you wings.

Red Bull was founded in 1987 by Dietrich Mateschitz. The company behind it, Red Bull GmbH, is based at Fuschl am See in Austria, and the product it is built on is an energy drink. Red Bull says Mateschitz developed the Energy Drink formula during the 1980s, before the brand itself launched.

Red Bull's own account is that the drink did not join an existing shelf but created a new product category when it launched. The formula was developed by Dietrich Mateschitz in the 1980s, and the business that grew from it, Red Bull GmbH, still runs from Fuschl am See in Austria.
