Ardberg An Oa Single Malt Scotch 750ml

Ardbeg An Oa is a smoky, sweet and rounded single malt. Ardbeg An Oa is inspired by its namesake, the Mull of Oa, a headland which shelters Ardbeg’s Distillery from the raging Atlantic storms. The whisky contains all the contrasts of Islay’s most untamed spot, where storm meets calm. Ardbeg An Oa’s rounded complexity emerges in the Distillery’s bespoke Gathering Room, where whiskies matured in different cask types are married together by an Ardbeggian alchemy, to form a peaty yet rounded dram. An Oa is named after the Mull of Oa in the south west of Islay, which offers the Kildaton coast (where Ardbeg distillery is situated) some protection from the worst the Atlantic has to offer! As such, An Oa is intended to show a more approachable side to Ardbeg single malt that's as rounded as the Oa peninsula, without losing the characteristic distillery style. In the summer of 2017 this became the first addition to Ardbeg's core range in over a decade.
