Vriesenhof Pinot Noir 2019

Vriesenhof Pinot Noir is made using our unique clonal selections, refined over many years, and reflects a classical approach in age-old winemaking traditions. The inclusion of a small percentage of whole bunches in the fermentation provides additional texture and aromatic intensity to the wine. The wine complete alcoholic fermentation in tank after which it is transferred to barrels which has played a key role in producing the integrated style of wine. Maturation for 12 months in 2nd & 3rd fill (80%) and 1st fill (20%) French oak barrels. A combination of 225l and 500l barrels. Deeply coloured with vibrant hues. The wine is marked by ripe Pinot Noir traits of berry aromas, forest floor notes and enticing musk. Velvet tannins and gentle acidity frame complex flavours of Turkish delight, cocoa bean and raspberries. With its bright, enduring finish, this wine exemplifies a classic expression of Pinot Noir.
