The story of Cederberg

Cederberg's vines went into Farm Dwarsrivier, in the Cederberg Wilderness Area of the Western Cape, South Africa, in 1973, and the first vintage followed in 1977. The present family has been on the farm since 1893, and David Nieuwoudt is the owner today.

Cederberg's distinguishing feature is where it sits: Farm Dwarsrivier lies inside the Cederberg Wilderness Area of the Western Cape, South Africa. The wines have been recognised outside the estate too. Cederberg Shiraz 2018 took Gold at Syrah du Monde in 2021, and Platter's South African Wine Guide gave the Chardonnay 4.5 stars in 1999.
