Havana Club Añejo Especial is a blend of rums from the fermented molasses of sugarcane harvested in Cuba. Anejo Especial is distilled using column stills and aged for about five years under the watchful eye of Don Jose Navarro, Havana Club's Maestro Ronero. The product of the blend is then returned into casks before bottling, which makes it double-aged.

The story of Havana

Havana Club rum comes from Cuba. The brand is owned by Pernod Ricard in a joint venture with The Cuba Ron SA Corporation, and the joint-venture company Havana Club International S.A. was created in 1993. The rum is produced in Cuba by a team of Maestros del Ron Cubano following traditional Cuban methods.
