The story of Stella Artois

Stella Artois is a pilsner lager beer founded in 1926 in Leuven, Belgium, and owned today by Anheuser-Busch InBev. Brewing in Leuven runs back much further: it traces to 1366, when the Den Hoorn brewery was established in the city, and Sebastian Artois was admitted to the Leuven Brewers' Guild in 1708 before purchasing the Den Hoorn brewery in 1717.
