Robertson Winery was founded in 1941 in Robertson, in the Western Cape, South Africa. It was established in a converted stone church that was no longer in use, taken over for winemaking and cellaring operations.
Robertson Winery sources its grapes from more than 35 farming families, some of them already seventh-generation grape growers. That makes it a grower-based winery rather than a single-estate one, with fruit coming from a group of farming families instead of one block of vineyard.
