De Wetshof

De Wetshof is a family estate in the Robertson Wine Valley, South Africa, on the R317 between Robertson and Bonnievale. It is run by the third generation of the de Wet family: Johann de Wet, the CEO, who looks after the vineyards, and Peter de Wet, who handles finance and logistics.

The estate describes itself as South Africa's Chardonnay House, and the majority of the farm is planted to Chardonnay rather than spread across many varieties. The vineyard soils are limestone-rich, complemented by shale and clay. De Wetshof also practises regenerative farming, aimed at conserving the environment while producing grapes of distinctive character.
