Delaire Graff Estate sits on the Helshoogte Pass in Stellenbosch, South Africa. It was originally planted by wine critics John and Erica Platter in the 1980s, who named it Delaire. Laurence Graff OBE purchased the estate in 2003, and Laurence Graff owns it today.
The vineyard runs to 17 hectares on the crest of the Helshoogte Pass, where a combination of maritime and mountainous terroir shapes the site, and the grapes are hand-tended. The wines are Bordeaux-style reds and Chardonnay. The land was first planted in the 1980s by wine critics John and Erica Platter.
