Rust en Vrede is a Stellenbosch estate in South Africa whose farm was established under a title deed granted by Governor Simon van der Stel in 1694. After decades without winemaking, the Engelbrecht family produced the first vintage of the modern era in 1978, and that is where the wine on the shelf today begins.
