The story of Swartland
Swartland Winery was started in 1948 in Malmesbury, South Africa, by 15 local farmers, who established it as the Swartland Co-operative. It converted from a cooperative into a public company in 2006. Early recognition came at the IWS in Budapest in 1972, where its 1969 Pinotage took second place.
