Since 1824, The Glenlivet distillery in Speyside, Scotland, has produced one of the most famous malts in the world – The Glenlivet 12 Year Old. This Speyside single malt Scotch whisky boasts a delicate balance of sweet summer fruits and spring flowers. You will also notice aromas of pineapple, pear, toasted cereal and honey, the latter of which shows up again on the finish.

The Glenlivet is a single malt Scotch whisky founded in 1824 by George Smith. It is made in Speyside, in the Scottish Highlands, and the brand is owned today by Pernod Ricard, through Chivas Brothers.

What makes The Glenlivet different

The Glenlivet is distilled using malt from Speyside and mineral water from the Cairngorms National Park, in traditional lantern-shaped stills. The spirit is then matured in oak casks. The lantern shape of those stills, the Cairngorms water and the oak maturation are what the brand points to when it explains its single malt.
