Warwick is a Cape wine estate in the Simonsberg foothills of Stellenbosch, in South Africa. The farm took its present name in 1912, when Colonel William Alexander Gordon acquired the property and renamed it in tribute to his Warwickshire regiment.
Warwick's vineyard blocks sit between 240 and 360 metres on the Simonsberg foothills, in granitic soils suited to red varietals and farmed with a minimal-intervention approach. Trilogy, made here every vintage since 1986, was the country's first bottled Cape Blend, and the estate also runs a Cabernet Franc programme.
Warwick's own guidance for Trilogy is simple: it is enjoyed on its own or paired with a meal.
