The story of Haute Cabriere
The von Arnim family have worked the terroir of the Franschhoek Valley since the property was bought in 1982, and the estate names Achim von Arnim as its founder; it is still owned by the von Arnim family. The farm itself was established in the valley in 1694 by French Huguenot Pierre Jourdan; following the Champagne custom of naming the wine after the landowner, the first Cap Classique range was named Pierre Jourdan after him. Second-generation Takuan von Arnim is Director of Wine, working with Cellar Master Tim Hoek.
